Sun Opposition Saturn (natal aspect)

(Sun square or opposition Saturn)

"Those people born under a challenging aspect between the Sun and Saturn face a fair number of challenges in their lives, especially in the first half of life, in which their attempts to express their will are thwarted. There can be a persistent feeling that they don't get what they want more often than other people around them. They can feel unlucky. Attempts to control their environment, and sometimes others, may be frequent.

These people fear their own feelings of inadequacy! They want to be considered accomplished and important people, and when they face obstacles, they don't always want to believe that they are their own worst enemy. They long to be considered important in the eyes of the world, yet they harbor fear of success at the same time. They take failures and minor setbacks to heart, and some practically beat themselves up over them. Self-awareness to the point of real self-consciousness is characteristic of Sun-Saturn challenging aspects. The truth is, nobody holds a microscope over them, except for themselves. A little setback or a faux pas needn't be analyzed to death. Fingers needn't be pointed. No, they didn't make a spectacle of themselves when they made a mistake. They need to stop worrying about always being right, or appearing suave and accomplished. When they ease the pressure they put on themselves, they find that they don't face as many brick walls. It is very much about what they feel they deserve. Deep down inside, if they let themselves truly believe that they deserve happiness and peace of mind, they will find it.

When Saturn is closely connected to a personal planet, there is usually an effect of censoring going on with whatever is ruled by the planet it joins by aspect. For example, with the Moon, which rules emotions, the natives feel the need to censor their emotions and feelings, scanning them for what is thought to be frivolous. With Saturn and the Sun, there is much self-censoring going on. "I shouldn't.." is a common censoring mechanism with these people. They feel they shouldn't want too much. When they express egotism of any form, some part of them feels guilty. As the Sun rules our conscious mind, it does enough censoring on its own. It is the "adult" within us. Saturn, on the other hand, is more like the "parent" within us. We need parents to guide us when we are children, and to some degree as adults, but for the most part, we don't need to be censored indefinitely--something that seems to be the case with Saturn-Sun hard aspects, except that the censoring and parenting is coming from within.

Ideally, these people eventually learn that the standards they set for themselves are too high, and that may be the reason they seem to hit brick walls. They recognize that many of the restrictions they face in life are often self-created, born of a defeatist attitude. They should be aware of the tendency to choose the hardest paths to travel and/or to deny themselves some of life's pleasures. Working on recognizing and managing these tendencies will help them to avoid the pitfalls of this combination. These people have a sarcastic sense of humor, a keen intelligence, and the ability to apply caution and strategy. The vitality may suffer, and troubles with the bones, teeth, and circulation may surface.

Mars square Moon transit

"This astrological aspect stirs up your emotional life; that is to say, an escalation and revitalization on that level will be produced. Thus, the big problem will be to control that increase in energy in your mental states, your feelings, and your family and affectionate relationships. There will be ardor, delivery, sacrifice and spontaneity in your emotional life, but susceptibility, irritability and passion could also emerge. All in all, this is a phase in which many things in your sentimental and family relationships will be defined.

It is possible that a small disagreement or misunderstanding with a loved one could emerge, but try to soothe your spirits and control yourself. Don't make any emotional decision based on states of psychological irritability, There could be hypersensitivity and resentment. More than anything, relaxation and psychic neutrality is important for being able to see things with objectivity. If you have been accumulating small animosities or misunderstandings with someone in the past, it is very possible that suddenly everything will come to light. When that happens, don't argue, but simply communicate, try to create an environment of mutual confidence and don't magnify things. Don't be melodramatic now, and don't deem yourself a victim of others. Consider the future, propose solutions and have sufficient greatness of the soul to forgive.

If during this phase you take on a family responsibility or have to decide something on behalf of your family, be very cautious, since you are inclined to be guided by rashness and excessive daring. Thus, if you make a mistake, you probably are going to lose some of the confidence that your family had in you. Because of this, it is advisable to heed the advise of an appropriate person and, above all, delay decisions somewhat so that they can mature. In this respect, you will not be alone and are supported by others that could facilitate your labor.

You will be direct, exempt and spontaneous in expressing your emotional states and your feelings, but don't go to extremes of ardor, fits of anger, or try to impose on your loved ones. Try to be a little more respectful, amiable and affectionate in your emotional expressions, avoiding at all cost abruptness and cultivating amiability. If you soften your emotional expressions, it is much more probable that your family and loved ones will be more receptive toward what you say or suggest to them. On the other hand, if you act in a hard way, they will close up and will be put on the defensive.

This is also a good time to bring to light elements from your infancy and adolescence that still could be active in your subconscious, in the wake of psychological experiences that still have not been assimilated well. If you have some antipathy, resentment or grudge toward some member of your family, now is the time to reflect on it and, thereafter, improve your relationship with that person." (Venus Group)

A conversation with her Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon husband:

“Look,” I said. “I know there are winter clothes of yours out there. I remember packing them so lets go find them,” I said heading out the garage. “You’ll be so happy to see your old stuff.”

“I will not be happy to see my stuff,” he said as if I were ridiculous. (This is his Scorpio Moon side)

“You’re not attached to clothing?”

“Nooooooo,” he said, marveling at my stupidity.

Five minutes later we had this big tupperware full of winter clothes sitting in the middle of the kitchen. He immediately started fondling his 100 % cotton clothing. (Taurus)

“I see they make you happy after all,” I said, gloating. He was smiling ear to ear.

“I am not happy!” he said grinning hopelessly.

I shrugged and left him to sort his clothes by mathematics. You know. 7 days, 7 shirts. A few minutes later he came in the bedroom to give me the shirt I am wearing in the pic.

“I’m going to give this to you,” he said. “Look at the back,” he said.

I turned the shirt around, it’s from my hometown where we met. Turns out he’s had it 15 years.

“For me? Cool,” I said. He just stood there.

“Thanks,” I said. He just stood there.

“No, you can’t have it back, look at you! It’s mine now, get out of here!’

Not attached to stuff my ass! (http://www.elsaelsa.com/archives/2008/10/26/taurus-sun-scorpio-moon-an-irresolvable-dilemma/)

Full Moon (Eclipse) in my 7th house

"The New Moon was all about you. Now it's time to strike a balance with an "other". The seventh house represents an important one-to-one relationship--a marriage partner, significant other, business partner, or an adversary. It's time to strike a balance between your own needs and those of another. It's time to compromise and negotiate. Partnership "tests" are possible now, but so is a chance to truly connect to a special someone in your life." (cafeastrology.com)

Solar Eclipse & New Moon in Aquarius

Solar Eclipse in my first house: "The focus is on personal development. Self-recognition is essential to self-esteem and growth. Acknowledgement of a weakness is as important to development as the recognition of strengths. No person can exist without some form of weakness. Some people experience identity crises or ruminate on self-doubts as part of the growth process. The Eclipse's influence is one in which the individual realizes that personal potentials can be developed and expresses them more fully. Self-knowledge, self-confidence, and self-enrichment lead to an expansion of personal horizons for those who respond positively to Solar Eclipse energies. A negative reaction blocks growth potentials and gives rise to arrogance and self-gratification. People that are too satisfied with the "self" as they are, fail to recognize what they have become." New Moon in my first house: "This New Moon placement is a powerful one—it's a time to reinvent yourself in some personal way, such as with a new look or manner of expressing and presenting yourself. This is a personally busy time of year, when you feel energetic and enthusiastic. Think about how you present yourself to others, focus on changing personal habits in such a way as to improve your confidence in yourself, and concentrate on putting your best foot forward, as this is a time when you will get noticed and make a personal impression on others. However, factor in the importance of authenticity in your presentation of yourself. You do not have to, of course, reveal all of yourself to others, but the sign of Aries associated with the first house reminds us of the importance of acting on our impulses and believing in ourselves. This is a time when you can be brave and enjoy new experiences." (cafe astrology)

"A NEW CYCLE! This New Moon period signals the beginning of your lunar cycle, and
brings an opportunity for a new approach to life! The New Moon in the first house is also the luckiest time to make changes in your appearance, so take a chance. You'll also meet new people and encounter different situations, so make sure to always put your best foot forward. Look at how you want to come across for the upcoming year, and resolve to change your habits for the better as well! This is the best time all year to re-invent yourself, for this is the house of self-discovery. Mars, the planet of energy, is the natural ruler of the first house, so you'll probably have enough energy to accomplish all your goals! This is also a great time to try a new look, as well as begin a solid exercise program.

FIRST HOUSE: Beginnings, the personality, the physical body, personal affairs and ventures." (http://www.moonspells.com/ie/Nmoon/NM_1st.html)
